Dean Park is a neighborhood park located on Stoddard Street (526 W Stoddard), west of the railroad tracks. This park has a pavilion and restrooms that were constructed by the Charlotte Rotary Club. Grills are available as well as a drinking fountain donated by the Eagles Auxiliary. There are several play structures and equipment, a basketball court, and plenty of green area for open play. Bennett Park is a 117-acre park located on the south end of town, adjacent to the fairgrounds.

The 1,000 square foot building includes restrooms, a kitchen, and fireplace. The wooded setting and fire bowl provides for outdoor events within the city limits. There is an unimproved trail link to the adjacent facilities within Bennett Park. The cabin is maintained and managed by a separate five-member board. Requests for reservations should be made through the City Clerk’s Office.

Oak Park is a neighborhood park located at Seminary and Clinton Streets. The park includes established canopy trees throughout. Half the park includes lawn area centered about a gazebo. The old stone fountain is still standing. Playground amenities include a modular play structure, metal climbers, swing sets, and other play equipment. There is a gazebo for your special event.

Charlotte is situated on gently rolling prairie. The Battle Creek River has its northern bend in the south part of the city, entering from the southeast and exiting to the southwest. Requests for reservations of the front pavilion should be made through the City Clerk’s Office.
